Meet Our Residents

Current Residents

Hannah Gilbert, PharmD was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. Her diverse didactic background includes earning her Associate of Arts from MATC-Milwaukee and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin.  During her PGY1 residency year, she will be completing the teaching certificate program with Concordia University, while also precepting IPPE and APPE students throughout her residency year. Hannah has chosen to expand her clinical knowledge in ambulatory care, oncology, and family medicine for her elective rotations. In addition she is looking forward to her year-long residency project which will delineate the rate of DOAC dosing that does not align with the FDA approved labeling for NVAF and/or VTE. 

In her free time, Hannah enjoys staying involved in her community through volunteering as a tennis instructor throughout the Greater Milwaukee Area, instructing all ages in the game of tennis. She also enjoys cooking, and when times permits, traveling to explore different countries.

Macey Graham, PharmD is from Cedarburg, WI. She completed the 2/4 PharmD degree program at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Her interests include internal medicine, critical care, ambulatory care and pediatrics. Macey chose to take her electives in women’s/NICU, antimicrobial stewardship and medication safety. She is excited to complete the teaching certificate program with Concordia University. Macey is completing her year-long residency project in assisting in the rollout of tenecteplase for acute ischemic stroke in all of Ascension Wisconsin, as well as comparing clinical outcomes between alteplase and tenecteplase in acute ischemic stroke. In her free time, Macey likes to golf, take walks by the lake and explore new restaurants around the city.
Patrick Begley, PharmD is originally from Staten Island, New York. He completed his undergraduate studies at UW-Milwaukee and received his PharmD from Concordia University Wisconsin. His interests within the profession include emergency medicine, intensive care, informatics, and ambulatory care. Patrick has selected infectious disease, informatics, and emergency medicine II as his PGY-1 electives. His year-long project will be centered on phenobarbital for alcohol withdrawal. In his free time, Patrick enjoys naps, eating food, and other human delectations.
Andy Saavedra, PharmD is originally from Greendale, WI, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and his interests within the profession include infectious diseases, cardiology, and internal medicine. Andy has selected his electives during his PGY1 residency year to be in infectious disease, oncology, and family medicine and will be completing the teaching certificate program through Concordia University. His year-long longitudinal project will be focusing on direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) use in patients with acute kidney injury (AKI). Andy’s interests outside of medicine include playing guitar, running, road cycling, skateboarding, and cooking healthy meals with his wife.
