Meet Our Residents

Current PGY 1 HSPA-L Resident

Audrey Schmidt, PharmD

Audrey is from Milwaukee, WI and completed her pre-pharmacy studies at Concordia University Wisconsin. She then completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in 2020. Her areas of interest include pharmacy informatics, medication safety, and antimicrobial stewardship. Audrey selected Medication Safety, Ambulatory Care, Pharmacy Informatics, and Oncology electives for her residency year. Her yearlong research project involves the creation of a pharmacist-directed direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) initiation and monitoring service.  Audrey looks forward to the opportunity to develop and expand her clinical pharmacy skills during her PGY-1 residency year and then apply what she has learned during her PGY-2 administrative residency.

Outside of pharmacy, Audrey enjoys relaxing with her pets, trying new restaurants, and watching crime drama series.

Current PGY 2 HSPA-L Resident 

Joseph Duty, PharmD

Joseph is from the Detroit metropolitan area of Michigan and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Michigan Technological University.  Joseph completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy.  His clinical areas of interest include diabetes, heart failure, smoking cessation, and medication safety.  Joseph selected Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Management and Community Pharmacy Management as electives for his residency year.  His yearlong research project is standardizing oncology clinic services across sites and developing a statewide pharmacy dashboard.  Joseph looks forward to the opportunity to develop and expand his administration and leadership attributes during his PGY-2 residency year.  In his spare time, Joseph enjoys biking, listening to or making music, and spending time with his family. He is also an avid baseball and football enthusiast for teams such as the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Milwaukee Brewers.
