Ascension Wisconsin Podiatric Surgical Residency
The mission of the Ascension Wisconsin Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency is to train residents in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of foot and ankle disorders by medical, physical and surgical means.
Step Into a Bright FutureAscension Wisconsin Podiatric Residency Program provides podiatry training in a multidisciplinary setting where the residents can gain experience working with other medical practitioners to provide total care.
The program accepts students from all podiatry schools through the CASPR application service.
Three Year, Multidisciplinary ProgramThis comprehensive three-year program provides surgery, inpatient management, emergency department (trauma) and clinic experience. A strong emphasis is placed on all phases of foot and ankle surgery. The program fulfills all of the newly-revised requirements of The Council of Podiatric Medical Education. Residents work on staff at several southeastern Ascension Wisconsin hospitals and outpatient centers with more than 50 attending physicians including podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons. The program also provides significant rotations through:
- Behavioral Medicine
- Clinical Podiatry
- Critical Care
- Emergency medicine
- General Surgery
- Hospital Medicine
- Infectious Disease
- Plastic surgery
- Vascular surgery
- Wound care
A one-month clerkship is available to any third and fourth year podiatry student. This is a surgical clerkship, which will have you in the OR on a daily basis.
Podiatry Residency Faculty
The Podiatric Surgical Residency faculty are board certified, board qualified or board eligible in their respective sub-specialties within the field of podiatric medicine and surgery.
